Find rest and serenity in the land of the T'boli dreamweavers – Lake Sebu!

Find rest and serenity in the land of the dream weavers – Lake Sebu.

Down in South Cotabato lies Lake Sebu, the peaceful home of the T’boli tribe. In this weekend immersion, you will live in a traditional native house run as a homestay by a family. There is no better way to learn about the local way of life than living with the locals.

At the center of this mountainous town lies a placid lake adorned with purple, pink and white lilies which you can explore early in the morning as you ride a native boat carved out of tree trunks. Catch some tilapia using the old-school hook and line, and grill it for lunch.

Learn about the T’boli culture the fun way! Watch metals smiths make bronze ornaments and trinkets from scratch. You can even make your own design.

Brass Casting

Let the children teach you the traditional dances and folk songs, while you try wearing their native costumes. Or try your hand at beadwork to make bracelets, necklaces and head pieces.

Marvel at the meticulous process of t’nalak – the indigenous woven fabric that is one of the essential identities of the T’boli tribe. The t’nalak designs are said to come to the T’boli weavers through their dreams, earning them their name dream weavers.

For those who are looking for a little excitement, Lake Sebu offers seven majestic waterfalls where you can do a zipline activity. Lake Sebu is perfect for those looking for a break from the busy city life. It is a peaceful place where one can quiet down, appreciate nature and the simple life, and rediscover a rich indigenous culture.
